This book was more creepy to me than the others. Just the idea of cannibals freaks me out. And knowing that there are people like that in the world, give me an uneasy feeling. To me, this was more gruesome. I liked the main characters of the crime unit all the same. Great book.
Awesome continuation of the series. Delves deeper into why Aislinn is the way she is.As well as piecing together her family tree. Very ending was a shocker!
I am currently binge reading this series. Some people bing watch tv, I binge read when I find something good. I haven't been this thrilled with a crime novel since the early books of Patricia Cornwell and her Scarpetta series or the early Patterson books. If you liked those books you will enjoy this series. Be sure to read them in order. You will be lost if you don't.
Oh my god she did it again. Hadena James is a brilliant, twisted, and talented writer. First let me say, the Dreams and Reality series is not for the faint of heart. Lots of graphic violence and disturbing imagery. Having said that the key thing to know about that statement is that all of that violence or imagery serves a higher purpose and is in no way thrown in for effect alone. What I find most extraordinary is how layered, deep and real these characters are. In this book especially you learn details about Aislinn that will leave you speechless. I cannot wait to see what happens next.
The family skeletons come to light in this book. Aislinn remembers (and learns) things about her childhood and her family. Safe to say the nut really doesn't fall far from the tree. The group is still adjusting to the loss of one of their own and trying to break in a new team member. This book is packed full and I wasn't able to put it down! I am looking forward to the next book in this series!
Once again, and to no small surprise, Hadena James blows my mind with her book. Her attention to detail is phenomenal. Normally, I would take a star off each of my reviews for the grammar errors, but honestly the book was so good I was able to overlook them and still enjoy it.
I really love this series. The characters are interesting and funny even though the stories are a bit gruesome. Each book about the different killers they are after are unique enough to keep me interested. I got the whole digital set through and I'm on book 6 now. There are a total of 11 so I'm excited to see if the other books in the series are just as good.
